Hello!
Just a reminder that we will be meeting for our monthly service project on Wednesday, July 21. We will be doing volunteer work at Pregnancy Resource Center (415 Cherry St. SE, Grand Rapids) from 6:30 PM – 8 PM. After, we’ll probably be going out to get a bite to eat.
This week at Connect will be our monthly Adoration and Confession. We will meet in the Connect room at Holy Spirit at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, July 14 for introductions and then move upstairs to the chapel where we will have a Holy Hour lead by Fr. Mark Mitchell.
Also, for those of you who are interested in helping to make Connect possible, we will be having our monthly vision meeting where we discuss and organize upcoming events. This will start at 7 PM at Holy Spirit on Wednesday, July 14.
Join us for a two or three day (your choice) canoeing trip on the Manistee River through Manistee National Forrest on July 23-25.
The 3 day event will be 77 total miles starting Friday morning.
Those going for 2 days will meet up Saturday morning or Friday night for 58 total miles canoeing.
Cost: $50 Dollars for two days, $75 for three days.
Camping supplies, food, and shelter will be provided. Please bring sleeping bags, clothes/toiletries, and any beverages you desire (including Gatorade, water, …). We will be talking our supplies on our canoes with us so pack lightly.
The Canoe Livery is on M37 near Mesick.
Car-pooling will be arranged once we are closer to the event and have a better idea of who will be coming.

We’re changing the schedule slightly this week. Instead of our monthly night of Adoration, this Wednesday at 7:30 PM Rene Constanza, a Paulist Seminarian completing his pastoral year at the Cathedral of St. Andrew will be giving a talk entitled, “Pursuit of Peace..My Journey to the Seminary.” This will take place at Holy Spirit.
Tomorrow night at Holy Spirit we will be playing a rousing good game of kickball. We will begin at 7:30 PM

Finally, our June Corporate Communion will be this Upcoming Sunday at
the 10:30 AM Mass at St. Mary’s in Muskegon. Following Mass we will
be sailing on the Boersma family boat. For more information on this

Second, Connect will be participating in Let’s Go to Bat for Kids this
Thursday night at Fifth-Third ballpark. While it is too late to sign
up to volunteer, you can still purchase tickets for the game. Check

for times and ticket prices. For those who’ve never been, the event
is a charity softball game between local priests and media
personalities benefiting Catholic Charities of West Michigan.
